About
John Ryan Faulkner is the president and sole shareholder of Bluestem Capital Management. He is a member of the NFA and is registered with the CFTC as an Associated Person and Principal of Bluestem Capital Management as of August 27, 2025 (NFA ID 0572853).
Mr. Faulkner has more than 25 years of experience in capital markets. In research, trading, and portfolio management, he has held positions of increasing seniority at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Central Bank of Chile, Lehman Brothers, and the CTA Faulkner Capital Inc. (NFA ID 0395350). He also has extensive experience in quantitative risk management as an advisor and manager.
Mr. Faulkner holds a Master's degree in international finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina.
Long/Short Volatility is the trading program offered by Bluestem Capital Management. The program holds long and short positions in VIX and S&P 500 Index futures. It may have long or short options on these contracts.
